Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Fluid Technician is to be responsible for assisting the team achieve the overall operational objectives for the Pickle Line Tandem Cold Mill (PLTCM) and Temper Mill in keeping all operational fluid systems running within their set parameters along with managing the fluid inventories of these respective areas. A fluid technician tests various chemistries for critical fluid systems on the Pickle Tandem Mill, addresses issues when chemistries deviate from process control limits, manages inventory of fluids and fluid testing/treatment, and performs basic maintenance on the Pickle Tandem Line fluid systems.
Nucor Steel West Virginia is Nucor’s new sheet mill with advanced steel making capabilities and lower carbon emissions. This is a greenfield project, which is estimated to be fully operational after two years of construction. The new steel mill will employ 800 full-time teammates producing up to 3 million tons per year at one of the most technologically advanced sheet mills located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV.

Salary $105,000.00-$115,000.00 (Compensation Range varies based on experience and is a full compensation package including a variable incentive during the construction phase.)
