      Food and Beverage Office Coordinator

      Job Title: Food & Beverage Office Coordinator

      FLSA Status: Non-exempt

      Hours: Full-Time

      Pay Rate: Starts at $18.15/hour

      Summary:

      Under the general supervision of the Food & Beverage Manager, the Food & Beverage Office Coordinator is responsible for, but not limited to, assisting in all aspects of clerical and record keeping, recruiting and onboarding for all food departments, and assisting with updating and developing manuals and SOPs for the Food & Beverage departments

      Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to) :

      • Assist with payroll record keeping in Paycom for all Food & Beverage departments.
      • Coordinate line scheduling for all Food & Beverage departments.
      • Assist with coding of payables in the Concur invoice management system.
      • Assist with food menu costing, catering billing preparation, and updating manuals and SOPs for all Food & Beverage departments.
      • Be versed in all food and safety handling procedures.
      • Be familiar with Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium operational guidelines.
      • Attend scheduled department meetings.
      • Assist the Concessions Assistant Manager, Catering Assistant Manager, and Treetops Restaurant Assistant Manager in the entry of daily paperwork, scheduling, payroll, cashier information, and food waste tracking.
      • Help maintain records of product received and transferred within Zoo from the Food & Beverage department.
      • Aid with monthly inventory in Concessions, Catering, and the Treetops Restaurant.
      • Work the daily operations of food areas to help cover when staffing is needed.

      Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

      • High school graduate with one year of experience in food service management.
      • Strong analytical skills required.
      • Certification of special training is helpful including, but not limited to, cash handling management and compliance of health regulations and sanitary standards.
      • ServSafe Certification required (if candidate does not hold a current certification, the Zoo will facilitate).
      • Strong experience with Microsoft Office products with a focus on Excel required.
      • Capable and willing to train on a variety of software programs including the Zoo's POS system.
      • Knowledge of restaurant supplies, equipment, and ordering as well as inventory control.

      Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and possess a valid driver’s license with a good history.

      Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

      • Will be required to work weekends, holidays and some night programs.
      • Must be able to walk long distances across the Zoo.
      • Must be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, twist, reach above head and climb.
      • Will lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds using safe and proper lifting methods
