12 month position, 245 Days/Year

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance / Operations

1. Process and review Free and Reduced meal applications and identify directly certified students.
2. Assist with inbound phone calls and emails pertaining to Free and Reduced meal applications.
3. Assist with planning and organizing activities related to all aspects of food service accounting.
4. Track, monitor, and evaluate monthly revenues and expenditures, review against budget, and maintain budget reports.
5. Prepare journal entries, including cafeteria special functions, assist with monthly reconciliation of all food service accounts, and assist with end of month procedures.
6. Update financial management policies and procedures for both schools and district office, and train and assist all FNS personnel on these policies and procedures.
7. Assist with budget analysis, financial review, and related responsibilities to develop an appropriate plan of action.
8. Assist with verifying meal counts and entering monthly meal/supper claims.
9. Prepare and send monthly invoices to district departments, process incoming invoices and checks, and generate and send requested FNS reports.
10. Process student refund requests for cafeterias and internal transfers for grants.
