Huntington, WV, USA Req #26145Monday, May 22, 2023The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a site-specific PT Food Pantry Coordinator position within the Huntington Command under the Potomac Division.
POSITION SUMMARY
Plans, coordinates, monitors, and participates in conducting the USDA Food Program; maintains inventory of food and cleaning supplies; prepares and maintains program and client records; recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers; schedules and coordinates delivery of food.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education and Experience
High School diploma or G.E.D. and six (6) months of experience coordinating social service projects; OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to plan and coordinate the distribution of food and commodities to the public.
Ability to recruit, train, and supervise volunteers.
Ability to maintain an adequate inventory of food and commodities to meet the needs of the program.
Mental, Physical Abilities
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
