      Key Responsibilities as a Food Production Supervisor for dnata Catering, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and high-quality production of food items for airline passengers. Your main role will be to manage and lead a team of production staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants, in executing food preparation, cooking, and packaging processes. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team to ensure that all meals are prepared according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the highest levels of food safety and hygiene, strictly following industry regulations and guidelines. Your expertise in production planning, inventory management, and kitchen operations will be essential in optimizing workflow, reducing waste, and maximizing productivity. You will also collaborate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of ingredients and materials necessary for production. As a Food Production Manager, your strong organizational and problem-solving skills will be crucial in addressing any operational challenges and ensuring smooth operations. By maintaining a high level of quality control and efficiency, you will contribute significantly to the success and reputation of dnata Catering.

      You Will

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Lead and motivate the AM or PM food production team.
      • Safeguard on time performance
      • Develop and streamline process, e.g., accessibility, availability, cost, quality, and production assurance.
      • Guarantee systems for best productivity.
      • Attend food tasting sessions as required.
      • Adhere to food safety compliance, HACCP regulations, Medina, FDA, dnata's internal rules and regulations.
      • Manage day-to-day food production Supervisors / and assembly room staff.
      • Guide communications to ensure food cost goals and on-time delivery of finished product are guaranteed.
      • Plan assigned work to ensure on-time delivery of finish product.
      • Manage multiple priorities and meet frequent short timeline goals and deadlines.
      • Calculate labor standards according to flight production schedules and meal order volumes (shift schedules)
      • Stay within budgeted labor goals (total head count, regular working hours, overtime)
      • Identify problematic areas and suggest solutions within the consigned sector to Production or Operation Manager / General Manager
      • Present solutions to Supervisors / Department Heads and Management
      • Employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold (35-40 Degrees).

      Nonessential functions:

      The salary for this position is $68,640 - $73,920 with weekly pay, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.

      You Have

      EDUCATION: Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3+ years’ experience in the field of manufacturing and manufacturing processes, preferable complex food production environments: e.g., airline catering.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
      • 3+ years’ experience in the field of manufacturing and manufacturing processes, preferable complex food production environments: e.g., airline catering
      • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
      • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
      • High end food knowledge is an asset but not a must.
      • Proficient culinary knowledge of terms, procedures, and practices.
      • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
      • Flexibility to perform assigned tasks independently or as part of a work team.
      • Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and general food safety standards knowledge is required.
      • Experienced professional with excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to interact and work well with a diverse group of people and departmental functions inside the organization.

      Intellectual/Social demands:

      While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. This position also requires constant attendance and punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.       Physical demands:

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly.

      Work environment:

      The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold (35-40 Degree).
