Job Description

Manage daily operations of breakfast, lunch, and summer meal programs per NYSED and USDA regulations
Develop and maintain food service policies in partnership with MPCS District
Oversee budgeting, procurement, inventory, and invoice processing
Lead, train, and support food service staff; foster a collaborative team environment
Create cost-effective, nutritious menus aligned with local, state, and federal standards
Handle catering for events and maintain event space booking schedule
Collect feedback from residents/staff to improve meal quality
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations
Liaise with Government Contracts team for timely submission of regulatory documentation
Represent the department professionally and uphold grooming/health standards
Bachelor’s Degree or Culinary Certification
Food Safety Certification
4+ years’ Food Service Management (2+ years in school settings preferred)
Bilingual a plus; Microsoft Office proficiency desirable
Valid NYS Driver’s License
Ability to lift/move up to 35 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Food Service Manager oversees all food service operations at JCCA’s Westchester Campus. This includes daily meal preparation, catering, compliance with state/federal nutrition guidelines, staff leadership, and procurement. The role ensures high-quality, nutritious meals for clients and staff while maintaining safety, professionalism, and fiscal responsibility.Key Responsibilities:
