- Supervises and monitors all activities in shipping/receiving/transportation/dishroom areas including, but not limited to, staff activities and schedules to various sites for receiving and making deliveries for food and supply items, conduction of physical inventory and completed requisitions for departmental food and supplies, and receipt of, count of, and verification of food and supply deliveries against invoices.
- Supervises receipt of food and supplies, storage of items in appropriate location using FIFO principle, and maintenance of cleanliness and organization of all cold and dry areas.
- Evaluates and completes employee annual performance review for assigned personnel. Prepares staff schedules to provide effective coverage, assigning of job duties, and organizing staff for daily work production requirements.
- Supervises maintenance of records for inventories, quality control, quality assurance, sanitation check list, temperature, charts, and all other records necessary for the operation of the shipping/receiving/transportation/dishroom area. Maintains HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) standards compliance in all work areas.

This position is located at the Department of Mental Health Crafts-Farrow, 7901 Farrow Rd, Columbia, SC 29203.
In this position, you will report to the Food Production Operations Manager providing supervision to assigned staff in the operations of receiving, transporting, and shipping food for the department in compliance with department, local, state, and federal guidelines.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
A high school diploma and supervisory experience in quantity and quality cooking.
Agency Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and supervisory experience in quantity and quality cooking or baking. ServSafe certifications within three (3) months of hire. Valid SC Driver's License.
Note: If any Agency Requirements are listed above, applicants must also meet those requirements to be considered for the position.Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus. Physical ability to manually lift 40 lbs. Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, pull, push, climb stairs or stand for extended periods of time. May encounter temperatures ranging from -10 degrees F to 400 degrees F around equipment. This is an essential position during an emergency.
