What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Independently plan, conduct, and close investigations related to professional conduct and competence
- Identify potential breaches of regulations and provide recommendations for further pursuit of files
- Investigate matters such as financial schemes, mortgage fraud, estates, and conflict of interest
- Develop case files to prosecutorial and evidentiary standards
- Assess the need for resolution of investigation files and make recommendations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- University degree coupled with a professional accounting designation
- Minimum of five years of forensic experience, preferably in a regulatory environment
- Solid understanding of the organization's mandate, legislation, and policies
- Knowledge of accounting practices, forensic investigation techniques, and specialized areas such as real estate and mortgage fraud
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Forensic experience with an emphasis on real estate and mortgage fraud
- Familiarity with Microsoft OneDrive, SharePoint, and Adobe Pro
