Job Title: Forklift Driver

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled forklift operator to efficiently manage and execute the picking of orders for wholesale and retail customers. The position requires the use of SDCB (Propane) forklifts and includes responsibilities such as shipping, receiving, unloading, and loading various vehicles, including trucks, flatbeds, 53' trailers, cars, and pickup trucks. The operator will also be responsible for accurately recording orders and shipments on paper and entering this information into the computer system, while maintaining communication through radio systems.

Responsibilities:

• Pick orders for wholesale and retail customers using SDCB (Propane) forklifts.
• Perform shipping and receiving duties.
• Unload and load trucks, flatbeds, 53' trailers, cars, and pickup trucks.
• Accurately record all orders and shipments on paper and enter them into the computer system.
• Communicate effectively using radio systems.

Essential Skills:

• 1 year of experience in sit-down counterbalance forklift operation.
• Experience picking and moving drywall with a forklift.
• 1 year of experience in warehouse or general labor roles.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal, written, and reading).

Work Environment:

The role operates during the day shift:

• Monday to Friday
• 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

This is a contract position based in Surrey (Port Kells), British Columbia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
