      Position Hours: 3pm to 11pm

      Position Summary:

      We are seeking an experienced and reliable Forklift Driver/Scanner to join our cold storage warehouse team. This role requires expertise in operating stand-up forklifts to safely and efficiently pick, scan, and load beef products. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with stand-up forklift operations, possess strong attention to detail, and be comfortable working in a cold storage environment.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Operate stand-up forklifts to pick, move, and load beef products accurately and efficiently.
      • Use handheld scanners to track and manage inventory, ensuring all items are properly recorded in the system.
      • Prepare and stage products for shipment based on customer orders and loading schedules.
      • Conduct daily forklift inspections to ensure proper functioning and promptly report any maintenance issues.
      • Follow all safety protocols, including proper stacking, securing of loads, and safe forklift operation.
      • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cold storage area.
      • Perform quality checks to ensure product integrity and compliance with company standards.
      • Assist in cycle counts and other inventory management tasks as needed.
      • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet productivity and accuracy goals.
      • Follow all cold storage protocols, including wearing appropriate attire and handling frozen and chilled products safely.

      Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

      • Work in a cold storage environment with temperatures ranging from 32°F to -10°F.
      • Perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs., and repetitive motion.
      • Must wear company-provided cold storage gear.

      Qualifications:

      • High school diploma or GED preferred.
      • Minimum 2 years of experience operating stand-up forklifts in a warehouse environment is required.
      • Current forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
      • Experience with handheld scanners and inventory management systems preferred.
      • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and safety.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
      • Basic math and communication skills.
      • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or varying shifts as needed.
