      Summary : The Forklift Operator is responsible for processing and fulfilling customer orders. This position will require the operation of a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and count merchandise. The Clerk is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Packer duties.

      Schedule : 1st shift, Monday-Friday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, or similar. This is an in-person position. Training may occur at other times.

      Salary Range: $16.00 To 18.00 Hourly

      Compensation commensurate with experience.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

      • Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations
      • Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas
      • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage and report quality variances
      • Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped
      • Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards
      • Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars or trailers
      • Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment
      • Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put away, and load functions, as required
      • Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
      • Inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment daily
      • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
      • Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained
      • Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation
      • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
      • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety, complying with OSHA and MSDS standards
      • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
      • Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstation are in good working order and is free of safety hazards
      • Report workplace hazards to management immediately
      • Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
      • Report all work-related injuries, illnesses, and/or near misses to management immediately
      • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations
      • Regularly perform general housekeeping duties in your work area(s)
      • Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment
      • Attend all department/company meetings
      • Other duties as assigned

      EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

      EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES:

      • High School Diploma or GED equivalency
      • One (1) to two (2) years previous forklift experience

      CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

      • Ability to read and understand corporate policies, job-related documents, and written/verbal instructions in English to ensure effective and compliant job performance.
      • Basic computer knowledge
      • Excellent attention to detail
      • Mechanically inclined
      • Ability to adapt to schedule changes based on the needs of production
      • Ability to cross train and work in other departments and/or machines
