      Overview:


      We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials within a warehouse or distribution center environment. This is a vital role in our operations, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products throughout the facility.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITIES

Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of executive management

      • Certified to operate a variety of lift trucks: Electric pallet-jack, Stock Picker and Counter Balance.
      • Use RF gun/scanner to input data into Warehouse Management System
      • Inspect equipment daily and complete pre-inspection form
      • Operate equipment in an array of surroundings and multi-temperature settings (-10° to 40°)
      • Put-away, transfer, retrieve, pick and deliver materials in storage.
      • Unload and load pallets from inbound and outbound trailers.
      • Pick or count inventory from upper locations while on stocker picker.
      • Pick and stack cartons onto a pallet for individual or store orders. Familiar with all aspects of retail pricing and EDI labeling requirements for specific wholesale customers.
      • Able to meet or exceed department standards
      • Utilize RF gun/scanner to pull accurate SKU’S and quantities.
      • Perform pre-stretching exercises (5-10 minutes)
      • This position will be working in the cold
      • Use Warehouse Management System to research/gather information

      • Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the assigned area, ensuring adherence to

        established policies, procedures, and quality standards.

      • Serve as the line lead, assist with supervising the flow of the work and process.

      • Assist with identifying process bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, and propose and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

      • Demonstrate proficiency in department processes and troubleshoots problems and issues.

      • Provide one on one or group hands-on training for new and returnee associates on all functional

        aspects of the ticket processing job.

      • Tracking inventory levels of products and ordering more supplies as needed.

      • Processing orders, verifying prices and availability of products with vendors, and shipping products to customers.

      • Proficient in using computer applications and software relevant to the role.

      • Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and continuous

        improvement

      • Perform other duties as required

      Qualifications

      Requirements:

      • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
      • 6+ months of previous forklift experience on similar equipment. Basic reading (English) and math skills (counting, adding subtracting, multiplying and division). PC skills or previous inventory scanning experience required.
      • Successful completion of Safety Classroom Training and Harry & David Certification Electric Pallet Jack
      • Stock Picker
      • Counter Balance (will be certified on 2-4 pieces)
      • Ability to sit for an extended amount of time.

      • Lift up to 50+ lbs.

      • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting deadline with accurate and detailed results.

      • Honest and respectful communication

      • Compliance with company attendance standards.
