- Under the guidance of the Supply Chain Supervisor, the Forklift Operator conducts the daily operations in one of the various positions in the Supply Chain Department.
- The operator will be able to be trained on the five operator rate positions in the department as skill and ability is gained.
- Assist with the loading/placement of all products from the rail cars, trucks and/or Joint Treatment Departments.
- Assist with the implementation of the RPM Program including supporting, scheduling, and maintaining all rules and procedures related to Supply Chain’s RPM initiative.
- Assist in the implementation of CGC/USG Model Programs, Safety Rules, VWIs/JSAs and Standard Operating Procedures, as required.
- Able to work in a manufacturing setting in a safe manner and follow all plant safety rules and practices.
- Maintain a high standard for housekeeping within the work area. Computer skills needed or data entry.
- Process will involve quality data or require comments related to the production/loading operation.
- Read and complete documented inspection procedures.
- Follow instructions on printed work orders to complete assigned tasks.
- Computer skills preferred to review or revise documents in Microsoft Office Programs.
- Navigate Microsoft Outlook for work related email.
- Ability to learn to operate plant equipment. Good communication skills needed with all co-workers.
- Recognize unsafe conditions or hazards within work area.
- Demonstrates the ability to cooperate with co-workers in areas of safety, quality, production/maintenance, and understands the importance of completing assigned tasks and their relationship to other requirements.
Supply Chain/Forklift Operator
CGC Inc. is currently recruiting a Supply Chain/Forklift Operator for our Warehouse facility in Calgary, AB! This is a permanent, full-time position on the afternoon shift of 1p-9:30p Monday through Friday.
