      Job Title: Forklift Operator

      Job Description

      We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator who will use RF scan guns for order picking and operate reach forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position involves significant reach forklift usage, alongside responsibilities such as loading and unloading trailers, case picks, bulk picks, and heavy lifting.

      Responsibilities

      • Operate stand-up dockstocker and sit-down forklifts.
      • Utilize power pallet jacks for efficient movement of goods.
      • Perform RF scanning for accurate order picking.
      • Conduct case and bulk picking with precision and care.
      • Load and unload trailers effectively.
      • Engage in warehouse operations including shipping and receiving.

      Essential Skills

      • 1+ years experience with reach forklifts.
      • Proficiency with dockstockers and power pallet jacks.
      • Knowledge of warehouse inventory systems (WMS).
      • Experience in loading/unloading trailers and order picking.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience with double deep reach trucks and sit-down forklifts.
      • RF scanner proficiency.
      • AB Forklift certification is preferred.

      Work Environment

      The facility stores and distributes various products and maintains a safety-oriented culture with open-door policies. Employees start with case picking to familiarize themselves with products before advancing to receiving and bulk operations. Utilize RF units for staging and scanning products efficiently. The afternoon shift runs from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. The team consists of around 10 warehouse staff, fostering a collaborative work atmosphere. Note that there is no transit system available.

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rocky View County, Alberta.

      The pay range for this position is $21.25 - $21.25/hr.
