Job Description

- Available to work a variety of shifts including days, evening, nights and weekends due to varying freight volumes
- Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand as needed
- Must be able to operate stand up forklifts primarily as these will be used the majority of the time
- Utilize mobile handheld devices for tracking shipments
- Safely climb in and out of trailers
- Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently)
- Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope)
- Safety walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that has potential to be below freezing and may become slippery
- Safely reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties
- Verify and complete required documentation and reports
- Adhere to company safety policies
- Frequent contact with co-workers and supervisors; fast-paced and deadline oriented
- Safely work in cold weather conditions
- Stand up forklift or high-low forklift experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to speak/read/write in English fluently
- Good basic math skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms
- Frequently required to stand, communicate, and listen
- Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Able to perform repetitive movements
- Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)

Position Summary: The Forklift Operator will be responsible for performing various duties in the warehouse in a fast-paced lean environment including receiving and put-away of all inbound receipts, shipping, and replenishment (stocking) of products to pick locations via forklift or by cart moves. Maintain inventory accuracy. Monitor coolers/freezer temperatures. Responsible for keeping warehouse area organized. Must have both stand-up and sit-down forklift experience and RF scan gun experience.
Pay and Shift Options:
2nd: 3:00pm-11:00pm - Pay: $18.50 (plus a $1.00 shift diff with a .50 increase after 90 days)
3rd: 11:00pm-7:00am - Pay $19.00 (plus a $ 1.00 shift diff with a .50 increase after 90 days)
OT including weekends as needed.
