  Forklift Operator
  Pay Rate: $21.50/hour
  Hours: 1:45 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. M-F
  Location: Enfield, CT
  Duration: 6 months

  Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate powered industrial trucks to transport materials and products throughout the facility.

  • Position forks or lifting platforms under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, or materials and transport them to designated areas.

  • Load and unload materials onto or off pallets and lifting devices.

  • Use scanners to determine product locations and replenish shelves throughout the facility.

  • Conduct inventory of materials on the floor and stock shelves as needed.

  • Weigh and position pallets as required.

  • Document activities and materials movement per SOP.

  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations, SOPs, and cGMP guidelines.

  • Willingly cross-train in other job functions and support multiple departments as needed.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

  Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must be licensed to operate lift equipment (internal or external certification accepted).

  • Minimum 3 months of high-reach forklift experience; in-house training and certification provided.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in basic English.

  • Basic math and communication skills.

  • Willing and able to work overtime as business needs require.

  • Prior experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments preferred.

  Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Frequent reaching, walking, kneeling, and use of hands and arms.

  • Must regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 70 lbs with assistance.

  • Ability to maneuver pallet jacks with loads up to 1,200 lbs.

  • Good vision: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

  • Comfortable working in environments where allergens (e.g., peanuts, dairy, gluten) are present.
