      Hourly base pay rate is $17.69 - $26.54/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

      Job Description

      This position moves and loads existing wrecked vehicles, able to maneuver RV and tractor trailers, sets sales weekly, and places inbound vehicles into stock.

      • Place stocked in vehicles on location numbers for storage.
      • Set upcoming sales.
      • Move existing wrecked vehicles on lot or for insurance inspection/legal/etc.
      • Load vehicles purchased onto buyers trucks, as well as Unload vehicles from sellers trucks.
      • Perform daily maintenance on equipment as needed.
      • Stock in vehicles to AS400.
      • Make sure proper announcements are entered.
      • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
      • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
      • May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.

      Minimum:

      • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (forklift equipment).
      • OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline.
      • OR 5 years’ experience in a related field
      • Ability to pass OSHA forklift/heavy equipment certification program with recertification Knowledge every 3 years
      • Valid driver's license and safe driving record required
      • Effective communication and organization skills required
      • Commitment to providing excellent customer service essential
      • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear
      • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb
      • Ability to spend prolonged periods of time sitting in cab of forklift/loader
      • Vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
      • Ability to remain focused and vigilant regarding surroundings and hazards on lot

      Preferred:

      • Basic computer skills and the ability to utilize a portable terminal, brick, etc. preferred.
      • Forklift experience
      • Class A license

      Work Environment

      • Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
      • Potential to spend up to 50% of shift out of the cab and outdoors
      • Driving and maneuvering forklift/pader in difficult situations with light to heavy crowds and traffic
      • Loading and unloading vehicles in various weather conditions
