Job Title: Forklift Operator- Swing

Job Description

Join a leading packaging company that provides custom corrugated sheets and high-quality packaging solutions throughout the Pacific Northwest. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring the efficient handling and transportation of materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Engage in cross-training opportunities to enhance skill sets and flexibility.
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, moving, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Take necessary breaks throughout the day while maintaining productivity.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company guidelines.
• Be open to shift changes based on seniority and company needs.
• Work mandatory overtime on Saturdays as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production, forklift operation, and material handling.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in reading English.
• Flexibility to stay after hours if required.
• Capability to work on feet all day, including non-forklift tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Willingness to adapt to different shifts and work environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

The work environment includes standing on your feet all day with repetitive tasks and physical activity. It can get very hot in the summer, but the company provides popsicles, Gatorade, water, misting fans, and improved ventilation to ensure comfort. Employees can bring their food, order, or purchase from the vending market available in the break room. The shifts are as follows: 10:30pm – 6:30am Sunday – Thursday, 6:30am – 2:30pm Monday – Friday, and 2:30pm – 10:30pm Monday – Friday.

This is a Contract position based out of Renton, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
