      Foster Care Case Manager

      Alabama Clinical Schools has been a behavioral healthcare provider in the Birmingham area for over 20 years. Our treatment services range from intensive residential treatment for males ages 9-18 to therapeutic foster care for males and females of all ages. Our RISE and Specialized Therapeutic Foster Care programs for boys are the only programs of their kind in the State of Alabama. Our mission is simple: to enrich lives of at-risk youth and their families by delivering quality behavioral and educational services while fostering a safe transition to the community.

      Foster Care Case Manager:

      The Foster Care Case Manager acts as leader of treatment team. Initiates the development of treatment plans; provides support and consultation to STFC foster parents, families, and other team members. Coordinates and links children and their families with needed agency and/or community services.

      Qualifications

      Qualifications:

      • A minimum of a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related mental health field from an accredited university.

      • Two years foster care experience strongly preferred.
      • LBSW strongly preferred.

      • Excellent communication skills, ability to maintain effective working relationships, inter-departmentally, intra-departmentally, and with the clinical staff.
      • Must have ability to communicate in both oral and written form and in a clean and concise manner.
      • Must have a successful drug screen and background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check).

      Qualifications:
