      General Summary: The Foster Care Supervisor is responsible for providing direct supervision of Foster Care Specialists and oversight of the members and families providing foster care services. This role involves staff supervision and collaboration with various stakeholders to promote the well-being of children and families within the foster care system.

      JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

      Clinical Oversight

      • Supports the organization’s mission, goals and management decisions; promotes an empirical behavioral model in program services.
      • Supports designated Foster Care and/or Kinship Staff.
      • Provides Staff supervision including assessment, behavioral interventions, decision-making and communications with Foster Parents.
      • Ensure staff supervision is documented as required by policy.
      • Builds staff competencies, reinforces positive work ethics and values and supports program training.
      • Ensures new staff orientation and training is implemented in accordance with policy.
      • Provides training and direction to Program Coordinators and/or Foster Parents on behavioral and other treatment services.
      • In conjunction with Foster Care Specialists, ensure members' needs are met within the foster home setting.
      • Works with Health Homes in provision of behavioral health services for members; ensures DCS Foster care team works collaboratively with Intermountain Health Home staff.
      • Communicate with Foster Care licensing and training staff to ensure DCS Foster Care needs are met.
      • Assists Program Manager/Director with critical incident reporting.
      • Provides emergency back-up support to foster care homes.
      • Participated in on-call rotation.

      Quality Assurance

      • Works with the QM team on quality improvement initiatives, quality metrics, data validation, etc.
      • Ensure member files are maintained in accordance with Intermountain Centers’ and contractual standards.
      • Ensure staff adhere to initial and ongoing training and licensing requirements.
      • Provides consistent oversight of staff and their assigned families, to ensure compliance with program procedures, state regulations, and established benchmarks.
      • Manages complaints, including resolution and follow up, in collaboration with Intermountain Centers’ leadership team.
      • Engage with foster parents as needed.

      Stakeholder and Community Engagement

      • Develop and maintain professional relationships with families and staff, and act as a liaison to external stakeholders.
      • Conducts and participates in team meetings, training, and other agency-related activities as necessary.

      Other

      • Maintains an approved schedule and acceptable level of attendance. This position requires full-time onsite requirements.
      • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary as they relate to the general nature of the position.
      • Performs designated staff evaluations and/or discipline.
      • Documents performance and disciplinary actions after consultation with Foster Care Program Manager/Director and HR.
      • Approves payroll and requests for time off, as required by policy.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Behavioral Health or Child Welfare.
      • Minimum Experience Required: Three years of related experience in the field of Behavioral Health or Child Welfare.
      • License Requirement: NA
      • BH Level: BHP preferred
      • Preferred Education: Master’s degree in related field
      • Preferred Experience: 5 years' experience working in child welfare
      • Preferred License: Associate level licensure preferred

      REGULATORY:

      • Minimum 21 years of age.
      • Valid AZ DPS Level I fingerprint clearance card (must maintain valid card throughout employment)
      • CPR, First Aid, AED certification, if required (must maintain throughout employment).
      • Current, valid Driver’s License and 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration liability insurance to meet insurance requirements
      • Must pass a pre-employment and annual drug test.
