What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Become a certified professional short-term foster family
- Provide a stable and nurturing environment for youth up to age 21
- Create successful placement matches for youth in need
- Support and assist youth in healing from setbacks and instability
- Collaborate with the agency to ensure the well-being of the youth
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be at least 21 years old and reside in the state of Oregon
- Possess a valid ID and Social Security Card
- Access to a working computer and high-speed internet
- Good sense of humor
- Must be physically, emotionally, and financially stable
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in foster care or child and family services
- Familiarity with the Portland Metro area, Salem, Albany, and Eugene
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals
- CPR and First Aid certification
