Position Summary
Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is seeking a Foundation Event Coordinator. The Foundation Event coordinator coordinates and implements specific special event plans and projects for inpatient hospital events.
Shift: Pool
ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions •
Gathers information, materials and resources needed to implement key signature events, other fund raising events, and cultivation activities.
• Develops and monitors action plans and timelines for implementation, volunteer recruitment and management, sponsor solicitation, event reporting, media relations, and using this information to make discretionary decisions about event planning.
• Implements specific event strategies directed toward targeted donors, potential donors, and other key constituencies.
• Coordinates with the other Foundation team members other Communications team members to coordinate components of large and small events.
• Demonstrates strong project management skills while timely managing multiple priorities.
• Coordinates other projects including mailings, distribution, scheduling, filing, copying, and ordering supplies and phone calls as needed.
• Requires flexibility to provide special event direction on weekends and holidays.
• Coordinates and organizes assigned responsibilities to confidential data.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions
• Assists with the planning and preparation of other proposals and presentations as appropriate.
• Participates actively to assure compliance in assigned areas of responsibilities.
• Provides for his/her own personal and professional growth.
• Acts as a role model for all team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation/Training:
Associate’s degree in a marketing, management, communications, data analysis or related field. One (1) year of directly related work experience may substitute for the Associate degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section).
Licensure/Certification:
None.
Experience:
One (1) year of organizational management experience with a focus in special events required. . Familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint applications. A Bachelor degree in a related field may substitute for up to one (1) year of the required experience.
Prefered experience working directly with children.
Education/Training:
