Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent experience
Reimbursement experience is preferred but not required.
A minimum of 3 years of reimbursement experience is preferred.
Ability to learn and apply aspects of reimbursement (i.e., benefit investigations, payer reimbursement policies, regulatory and administrative rules).
Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal format.
Effectively problem solves under pressure and prioritizes tasks to provide excellent customer service.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team structure and responsibly delegate next steps to appropriate team members.
Demonstrates effective problem solving and excellent customer service.
Able to follow written Standard Operating Procedures.

In this role, applicants would be employed through Magnit, the Managed Service Provider for Genentech's Contingent Workforce, to work on a Genentech assignment. Below are details about the assignment and Genentech.
The Foundation Specialist (FS) evaluates patient eligibility for the Genentech Patient Foundation (GPF) and coordinates shipments of Genentech products to patients within program guidelines.
The Senior FS is a front-line subject matter expert, provides guidance and support on complex cases, proactively monitors, supports, recommends and champions efforts to improve departmental processes and proactively offers additional assistance to peers and Leadership to deliver on key business objectives. They also effectively influence peers, other working groups across ASPS/Genentech, and management at all levels.
The Foundation Specialist is an Individual Contributor who reports to an Access Solutions Senior Supervisor.

Business travel may be required to support business needs, and periodic mandatory overtime throughout the year may be required.
This job requires you to be on the phone with customers and patients for the majority of your work day. You will also be required to look at a computer screen for the majority of your day.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Portland is $30. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position is eligible to earn incentive compensation that is calculated and paid in accordance with the applicable Incentive Compensation Plan for the role.
