- Generate, direct, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production and maintenance schedules. Review scheduled work orders, earned hours, personal time, to ensure all customer orders / production schedules are met and there are no job order variances (JOV).
- Will review, create and vet foundry routers for accuracy.
- Quote setup and run times for foundry products. Will be involved in the creation and maintenance of foundry routers to ensure quality and product costing accuracy.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering, leads, management, metallurgist, and 3rd party vendors to solve problems with part production or quality regarding tooling, patterns, melt instruction or equipment.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of foundry personnel including training, employee development, performance evaluation, discipline actions, hiring decisions, vacation schedules, shift schedules, and time management on work orders.
- Promoting a safety culture and enforcing all NOV HSE policies and procedures, also local government regulations as applicable. Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.
- Ensure all requirements for location quality certifications are meet and adhered to such as ISO, API, and welding certifications, etc.
- In collaboration with Quality, Engineering, and/or metallurgist investigate all customer escapes and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent the re-occurrence for foundry product. Analyze and address product nonconformities (scrap, rework, use-as-is) to improve the cost of quality for the foundry.
- Communicate verbally and in writing to ensure all employees are properly informed about policies, procedures, location performance, programs, work schedules, etc.
- Drive continuous improvement of foundry in areas of Safety, Quality, LEAN, Delivery, Lead-Time Reduction, and Cost to enhance performance. Ability to review drawings, process routers, or procedures to identify and drive opportunities for quality and cost improvements.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or Supply Chain major) preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of sand cast process, working with cast iron, ductile iron and nickel aluminum bronze. (minimum of 5 years).
- Experience in Foundry Management / Supervisory Role (minimum of 2 years).
- APICS and/or LEAN / Six Sigma Green Belt Certified preferred, or must have willingness to obtain if not certified
- Experience with raw materials, sand management, and secondary operations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and understanding of MRP System

JOB SUMMARY
NOV is actively recruiting a Foundry Production Supervisor in Tulsa, OK, who will be responsible for directing and coordinating the daily operations and schedule for the Foundry, which may include some fabrication and secondary operations. This role will direct people and foundry equipment to meet customer requirements and delivery schedules while minimizing unnecessary costs and adhering to strict quality standards and engineering specifications. This position will work in partnership with other departments such as planning, purchasing, human resources, finance, manufacturing engineering, management and HSEQ, and will be involved in the hiring of employees, employee development, cost management, product costing, coordination or work orders, maximizing facility layout and ensuring a safe work environment.
