What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support the accounting month-end close process
- Process payments and perform reconciliations
- Prepare both internal and external financial reporting
- Assist with the development of budget and forecasts for the Health Plan
- Conduct financial analysis to support business initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting or finance role
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with Microsoft Excel
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), which can be through education
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience
- Ability to work independently and multitask under tight deadlines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Hyperion, Oracle, or Ariba
- Experience working for a large public company
- Knowledge of health insurance industry terminology and concepts
- Comfortable speaking to Senior Management and Executive Leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics is preferred
