Provide technical leadership on Vena’s architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and best practices.
Evaluate and implement new Vena features to improve efficiency and functionality.
Oversee and provide technical guidance on FP&A system and tool integrations - including accounting systems and database applications - leveraging internal teams and vendor support services for execution.
Provide technical support for cross-team projects with accounting platform and accounting support teams on system integration, product enhancements, product updates and tool development
Serve as the escalation point for troubleshooting technical issues and optimizing system performance.
Maintain technical & administrator-level product documentation
Lead FP&A system administration, ensuring appropriate user access controls and standardization, and setting up new clients and regions.
Act as the primary point of contact for vendor and vendor professional services, managing support and implementation efforts.
Ensure that product technical strategies align with organizational priorities and goals.
Oversee vendor contract execution, performance, and service-level agreements.
Facilitate collaboration between our FP&A superuser group, FP&A system end-user support, and internal technical teams.
Own and drive the FP&A system technical roadmap, focusing on system optimization, efficiency, and school finance requirements in collaboration with the School Finance Team, initiatives, and vendor professional services teams.
Lead planning and execution of product upgrades, enhancements, and new module implementations.
Monitor vendor release cycles and recommend adoption of relevant updates.
Attend vendor product roadmap and other conference/training sessions.
Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and system innovation.
Design & implement enhancements to Vena data models & structure, and reports.
Design, implement & maintain accounting & other reporting tools using advanced Microsoft applications such as PowerBI and PowerQuery.
5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 2 years administering FP&A software; direct experience with Vena Solutions a major plus.
Experience leading technical projects, such as software upgrades, data model design & implementation, and optimization initiatives.
Strong understanding of FP&A data management.
Experience with accounting platform and financial data integrations.
Advanced Excel skills, including the use of charts and VBA; PowerQuery experience is a major plus.
Expert financial modeling and analytical skills.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and management reporting.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a results-driven mindset.

The FP&A Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the technical architecture, integrations, security, and system governance of our FP&A systems and tools, ensuring they operate efficiently and align with organizational priorities. This role provides technical oversight and guidance, working closely with the School Finance Team and vendor professional services teams to execute solutions that enhance system performance and scalability. The FP&A Product Manager develops and maintains financial models, reports and analysis tools to enhance the quality of our service delivery to schools.
As the primary FP&A System (Vena Solutions) technical administrator and contact, they manage vendor relationships, troubleshoot technical issues, and drive the Vena technical roadmap to optimize workflows and implement new features. By ensuring a secure, well-integrated, and high-performing Vena environment, this role plays a critical part in supporting the organization’s long-term business goals and school financial reporting functions.
