What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review account activity to identify and prevent losses due to fraudulent activity in member accounts
- Process ATM and debit card disputes while adhering to regulations and internal procedures
- Assist in identifying fraud trends and recommending changes to fraud detection strategies
- Report fraudulent activity that meets Bank Secrecy Act reporting requirements
- Collaborate with various departments regarding suspect membership and loan applications
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2 years of related investigative experience with a focus on consumer account fraud
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of banking products and services, and familiarity with banking regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency in basic applications in a Windows environment, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in fraud investigation and prevention within a financial institution
- Familiarity with the Uniform Commercial Code and Regulation E
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to learn specialized applications and systems quickly
- Excellent customer service skills
