      Freedom Boat Club is the nation’s oldest and largest private member boat club. We are always open to meeting interested candidates!

      Our hourly roles include Dock Hands, USCG Captains and Dockside Fleet Technicians.

      DOCK HANDS

      Starting pay is $13.00+ USD per hour, plus tips and attractive part time and full-time benefits:

      Job Description

      Welcome and check in boat club members when they arrive for their reservation using a tablet or iPad. Perform equipment checks to make sure all necessary equipment is on board.

      Clean and maintain vessels as well as club location according to company standards.

      Daily clerical work to prepare reservation logs, fuel logs and weather reports.

      Familiarize yourself with local waters to provide basic guidance to members.

      Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors

      Work outside in the state’s elements and stand for an extended periods of time.

      Job Requirements:

      • Pass a background check and drug screen
      • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
      • At least 18 years of age
      • Experience in or around boats is preferred
      • Strong communication and customer service skills
      • Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity
      • Ability to read and manipulate handheld tablets
      • Comfortable with physical demands of the role including bending, kneeling, balancing and carrying equipment up to 25 pounds
      • Positive, cooperative attitude with the capability of working unsupervised
      • Adhere to all safety policies

      USCG Captains

      Starting pay is $25.50+ USD per hour plus attractive part time benefits:

      Job Description:

      Onboarding our club members by leading classroom and on the water training. Topics covered are Basic Boat Operation, Intermediate Powerboating, Anchor Training, and others.

      Job Requirements:

      • Candidates must maintain their Merchant Mariner Credentials
      • Must be at least 21 years old
      • Previous instructor experience is highly desirable
      • Must pass a background check and drug screening
      • Valid driver's license and good driving record
      • Boating experience in and around boats is required
      • Standing for long periods of time
      • Read/manipulate handheld computer tablets
      • Work outside in the elements
      • Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity
      • Highly effective communications skills and friendly customer service is absolutely required
      • Must be a self-starter and capable of working unsupervised
      • Handle minor member mishaps or incidents while maintaining friendly disposition

      Dockside Fleet Technicians

      Starting pay is $18.00+ USD per hour plus attractive part time benefits:

      Job Description

      Troubleshoot and perform light maintenance on vessels while owning the process of entering and updating the Fleetio software. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

      Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

      You will be working outside in the elements and standing for extended periods.

      Job Requirements:

      • Local travel required; weekday and weekend availability required
      • High attention to detail
      • Ability to utilize a tablet and the Fleetio software
      • Fleet maintenance background preferred
      • Must pass a background check and drug screening
      • Valid driver's license and good driving record
      • High School degree
      • Must be at least 21 years old
      • Highly effective communications skills and friendly customer service is required
      • Must be a self-starter and capable of working unsupervised
      • Maintain a clean work area
      • Adhere to all safety policies
