      The Freight and Cost Audit Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's transportation cost management and freight audit operations. This role will analyze freight bills, validating carrier charges, and identifying cost-saving opportunities within middle mile.

      The position requires expertise in developing and implementing audit procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with carriers and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate might be able to leverage data to monitor costs and accruals, checking details of carrier billing.

      This role is crucial in maintaining the financial integrity and transparency of the company's logistics operations and contributing to bottom-line savings.

      Key job responsibilities
      - Audit Execution: execute freight bill audit processes; Review carrier contracts and rate agreements; Verify accuracy of freight charges and billing.
      - Cost Analysis & Optimization: Analyze transportation costs and spending patterns; Identify cost-saving opportunities; Monitor KPIs and develop performance metrics.
      - Reporting & Communication: Prepare regular audit reports for management; Communicate with carriers regarding discrepancies; Collaborate with finance and operational departments.
      - Financial Management: Track and recover overcharges; Process carrier payments; Manage audit budget; Reconcile freight accounts.

      About the team
      Individual Contributor- Bachelor's Degree;
      - Proficient in transportation management systems, productive dynamics and data analysis tools;
      - Project management and change management experience;
      - Ability to pull large dataset and convert it into insights that can drive efficiency;
      - Fluent Portuguese and advanced English.
      - Advanced knowledge of Excel.- Transportation background is a plus;
      - MBA is a plus.
