- Review all freight invoices for completeness and accuracy, advising carriers where information is missing or incorrect.
- Validate occurrence of freight movement as per records and match to carrier invoices to process freight payment.
- Respond within one business day to all carrier inquiries to resolve any billing issues.
- Prepare accurate and timely carrier accruals each month that reconcile with carrier reconciliations.
- Prepare carrier reconciliations at each period end to ensure accuracy and address carrier statement aging issues to meet vendor payment terms.
- Work closely with internal Transportation operational staff to address any invoice validation or rate issues.
- Perform ad hoc requests as required.
- Experience within the transportation industry, specifically with courier shipments such as Purolator, UPS, and FedEx.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel, including knowledge of Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and IF statements.
- At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable, invoicing, payments, or related fields.
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Math, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Audit experience.
- Freight audit experience.
- Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Background in logistics or supply chain.
- Experience with Oracle or PeopleSoft.

Job Title: Freight Audit Representative
Job Description
The Freight Audit Representative is responsible for auditing invoices from carriers to ensure accuracy and compliance with various criteria such as trip ID, driver route, fuel surcharge, wait times, and offline miles. The role involves reviewing freight invoices, addressing discrepancies, collaborating with the Transportation team, performing month-end reconciliations, and handling ad hoc requests.

Work Environment
The position operates within a hybrid working model, requiring attendance at the Oakville office one to two times a month, potentially increasing in the future. The schedule includes working from home on Monday, Thursday, and Friday, with two days in the office. The role involves a 37.5-hour work week from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The office is campus-style, and the employee will report to a supervisor and work alongside a team of 16, including two team leads
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
