- Proven experience as a Freight Broker or in a similar logistics role.
- Strong knowledge of container and dryage transportation processes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems and software.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience in working with international shipments and customs procedures.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools, such as TMS and EDI systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and industry trends.
- Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods by working closely with shippers, carriers, and customers.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to ensure cost-effective and efficient transportation solutions.
- Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays that may arise.
- Prepare and process necessary documentation, such as bills of lading and customs paperwork, to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers to foster long-term partnerships and drive business growth.
