      Freight Claims Specialist

      Reports To: Senior Manager - Risk

      Location: Querétaro, MX

      Environment: Onsite

      Work Schedule:

      This position is full-time and onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an hour break, but flexibility is available based on coverage.

      Purpose of Your Work:

      As a Freight Claims Specialist working within Redwood Logistics, you will be responsible for ensuring that all freight claims are filed and resolved in a timely and efficient manner. This position is responsible for filing claims within five business days of receipt, responding to carrier and customer inquiries promptly, and managing their assigned tickets. The Freight Claims Coordinator will also complete monthly reviews of claims that are over 90 days old, collaborating with the broader team to address any outstanding issues. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to customer service are essential for success in this role.

      How You Make a Difference Everyday:

      • File all freight claims within five business days of receipt, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
      • Respond to all carrier and customer inquiries within three business days of receipt, providing clear communication and timely updates.
      • Conduct monthly reviews of all claims over 90 days old, identifying any delays or issues and working to resolve them promptly.
      • Maintain accurate records of claims, inquiries, and resolutions, ensuring all documentation is up to date and compliant with internal and external regulations.
      • Collaborate with the freight claims team to share information, address complex claims, and continuously improve claims processes.

      • Bi-lingual in English/Spanish; proficient level for verbal and written communication

      Preferred Skills:

      • Industry Knowledge: Any exposure to the logistics/transportation industry is a plus.
      • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
      • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to reviewing documents and data for accuracy and completeness.
      • Critical Thinking: Ability to evaluate information objectively and identify potential risks.
      • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify, analyze, and propose solutions to compliance-related issues.
      • Computer Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
