PURPOSE: Supervise Fresh Cut section according to Company standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Champions Company and Division customer service programs to meet or exceed Division customer service goals. Handles customer relations in a positive manner, including effective resolution of customer complaints. Promotes Albertsons/Safeway philosophy of personalized service in the Fresh Cut area.
Supervises, motivates, trains, and participates in the hiring of Fresh Cut personnel. Monitors associate performance and recommends personnel actions such as hiring, firing, layoffs, and disciplinary action. Schedules Fresh Cut personnel in alignment with allotted hours.
Prepares fresh fruits and vegetables and salads for the Fresh Cut area. Ensures quality, freshness, selection, and adequate quantity to meet customer demand. Sets up, maintains, and closes the Fresh Cut area according to Company procedures.
Stocks, dates, and rotate Fresh Cut products while controlling shrink and costs.
Orders, receives, checks, and controls inventory to ensure adequate quantity, quality, and freshness.
Implements correct product preparation techniques. Uses and operates related equipment such as slicers, wrapping machines, mixers, pallet jacks, hand truck, knives, safety cutters, scales, food processors, and garbage disposal.
Complies with all food and workplace safety rules and regulations.
Verifies pricing accuracy and additional display signs.
Ensures safety, cleanliness, and sanitation of work area, cooler, and equipment.
Assists customers and engages in suggestive selling.
Responsible for performing all job duties and responsibilities safely, accurately, and with honesty and integrity.
