      The Courtyard by Marriott Memphis East Bill Morris Parkway is searching for a motivated hotel guest service agent, front desk clerk, or guest service agent eager to provide excellent customer service to our guests and ensure they have all they need during their stay. As the Hotel Guest Service Agent, Front Desk Clerk, or Guest Service Agent to greet customers, you will check guests in and out, make adjustments to reservations, recommend local activities or restaurants, and arrange transportation.       Some Key Areas of Responsibility for the Hotel Front Desk Clerk, Front Office Agent, or Guest Service Agent include:
      • Welcome all guests and confirm bookings upon their arrival
      • Act as a point of contact for guests who require help or information and attend to their wants and needs
      • Arrange activities, excursions, and transportation for hotel guests per their request
      • Provide the best local recommendations, gather in-depth knowledge about the premises as well as surrounding venues and businesses
      • Handle and distribute messages and mail, as well as redirect calls by answering the phone and making adjustments to reservations
      • Answer any issues or complaints made by guests and come up with solutions quickly
      • Complete retail transactions for drinks/snacks/sundries from our guest Market
      Requirements for the Hotel Guest Service Agent, Front Desk Clerk, or Front Office Agent include:
      • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
      • One year of experience in the hospitality industry as a hotel front desk agent, hotel receptionist, or guest service specialist preferred
      • Knowledge of the local area to make recommendations for a variety of services
      • Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, customer service skills, and interpersonal skills
      • Comfortable taking telephone calls and mitigating stressful situations
      • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems
      Applicants must be able to work weekends & holidays
