The AWS Console Widget Platform team is looking for a highly passionate and capable Front-End Engineer. The Widget Platform’s mission is to empower AWS Console developers to build the next-generation of console experiences, sharing targeted user experiences (widgets) across consoles and dashboards with minimal effort. To accomplish this our team maintains and enhances a cutting-edge framework and deployment system, leveraging such modern Web technologies as web-components in order to allow these widgets to be built and deployed rapidly and independently.

As an front-end engineer on the team, you will share responsibility for designing, implementing, and enhancing our widget creation framework - empowering AWS console developers to deliver these targeted experiences rapidly and efficiently. East Palo Alto, CA, USA- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 4+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
- Experience working with HTML5 and Web Standards · Cascading Style Sheets (including CSS Variables, SASS, LESS, etc) · Javascript (React, Angular, Ember, Polymer, vanilla, etc), Typescript, Node- 4+ years of agile software development methodology experience
- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
- · Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience · Strong and creative problem solving abilities · Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies · Experience with WCAG 2.0 Accessibility Guidelines, Web Component technologies (Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, ES Modules) · Passion for simplicity and building highly-leveraged, reusable software platforms, components, and APIs · Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations · Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
