      Are you customer-obsessed, data oriented, and confident in proposing opportunities to improve our customers’ experience across different Amazon businesses? Amazon is looking for an experienced, talented and highly motivated Front End Engineer (FEE) to join the Customer Experience and Business Trends (CXBT) organization.

      As a FEE, you will be part of a team (mix of full stack engineers, frontend engineers) working closely with UX and Product Manager to solve challenging problems on behalf of CXBT customers. The solutions heavily leverage AI and quantitative analysis to challenge conventional wisdom with hard data.

      In this role you will have the opportunity to exercise your creativity and explore ideas to simulate and quantify any aspect of the customer experience.


      Key job responsibilities
      You will:
      - Write, test and deploy code using Amazon and AWS tools.
      - Write automated UI tests.
      - Design new user interfaces and features.
      - Follow best practicies in user interfaces and insist on high standards.
      - Work with designers, product managers and stakeholders.
      - Occasionally develop or fix issues on the back-end.
      - Work in a Scrum team, attending Daily, Planning, Grooming and Retro meetings.
      - Contribute to estimating and planning of work.
      - Help your team mates and get help from them.
      - Take part in oncall support.

      Customer Experience and Business Trends (CXBT) is an organization made up of a diverse suite of functions dedicated to deeply understand and improve customer experience, globally. We are a team of builders that develop products, services, ideas, and various ways of leveraging data to influence product and service offerings - for almost every business at Amazon - for every customer (e.g., consumers, developers, sellers/brands, employees, investors, streamers, gamers).

      Our approach is based on determining the customer need, along with problem solving, and we work backwards from there. We use technical and non-technical approaches and stay aware of industry and business trends. We are a global team made up of diverse set of profiles, skills, and backgrounds - including: Product Managers, Software Developers, Computer Vision experts, Solutions Architects, Data Scientists, Business Intelligence Engineers, Business Analysts, Risk Managers, and more.
      - 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
      - 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
      - Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience
      - Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

      Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
