      Pay Rate: £40,000 - £42,000
      Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

      Shift patterns: 4 on 4 off. 4am - 4pm and 4pm - 4am (you need to be able to work both shift patterns as this is a 24hr service)
      Location: Gatwick, RH6 0JW

      PLEASE NOTE: The role is based within an airport. You will be required to undergo a security/background check if you are to be successful for this position.

We're seeking a Front of House Shift Manager to play an integral role in our aviation contract, delivering a first-class service and achieving fantastic results.

      WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

      • Responsible for daily operational performance including; safety, driving on time performance, awareness of departmental delays and KPI targets, drive customer service standards, on shift resourcing, Trial oversight, Disruption Co-Ordination, co-ordinate weekly briefing topics, staff welfare/management, oversee departments monthly 121 compliance and team development
      • The Departmental Operations Manager reports directly to the Senior Operations Manager for their given department and will drive all shift managers to achieve KPI's on a daily basis
      • They will have line management responsibilities for their Departments Duty Managers to deliver a smooth and efficient operation, manage their personal development and also conduct monthly 121's
      • It will be imperative to ensure that all customers are dealt with in an efficient friendly and professional manner through effective shift planning and leadership of the management team on shift

      WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

      • Airports operational experience essential at a management level Duty Manager or above
      • Experience as a Line manager essential
      • Working knowledge of ground handling and airport operation regulations
      • Ability to communicate successfully at all levels above and below their appointed grade
      • High standards in delivering customer service

      • Understanding of roster coverage (preferred)

      SECURITY PROCESS TO WORK WITHIN AVIATION AND TRAVEL AT DHL

      • Be able to provide five years address history
      • Be able to provide five years reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
      • To obtain a full airside ID
