- Greeting and thanking guests in a sincere, friendly manner.
- Perform all guest check-in and checkout procedures; which includes obtain or confirm guest information, assign rooms, activate and distribute keys, etc.
- Posting charges to appropriate guest accounts and collect payment for room charges and other fees.
- Make and confirm reservations
- Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
- Anticipating and addressing guests' needs, and resolving their problems and complaints.
- Collaborating and communicating with other internal departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Performing duties on daily checklist.
- Up Selling guest rooms and promoting hotel services
- Operating switchboard and assisting with inquiries.
- Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of hotel services, specials, promotions, facilities, policies, room rates and area’s attractions
- Complete various additional tasks and assignments in all Front Office Divisions; Operator and Regency Club as needed.
- A minimum of a Diploma in Hospitality/ Tourism Management or a relevant field;
- Ability to speak a second Language fluently will be considered an asset.
- Good working knowledge of Reserve/Opera software;
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications;
- Refined verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to work a flexible schedule; weekends, holidays, overnight shifts
- Physically agile, ability to stand or walk for long periods of time;
- Excellent time management and organizational skills;
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Well-groomed, professional appearance.
!*!The Front Office Host will work in any of the Hotel’s Front Office Departments as needed by the company’s operational demands. This includes Front Desk, Regency Club, PBX and Concierge.
Front Office associates are responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This highly visible role gives opportunity for casual conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience. Other duties may include processing forms of payment and responding to guest inquires. You will be the face of Hyatt as a Front Office Associate. You are required to assist with PBX telephone operator, Regency Club and concierge duties as needed.
The candidate will also work in the Regency Club of the hotel, an exclusive, private area provided by the property, with access granted to elite guests only. The candidate must provide excellent customer service, working to meet the needs of these special guests. A team player who is always willing to go the extra mile to please his customers.
To ensure success you will be professional and pleasant in challenging situations, and take responsibility for satisfaction of guests from arrival to departure. Preferred candidates will be positive, pro-active and be skilled at multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
