- Supervises front office and file room personnel to maximize efficiency and minimize errors. Handles tasks directly, if necessary, to ensure completion.
- Ensures that staff greets and checks in patients, while verifying and updating necessary information in the medical records.
- Ensures that staff maintains computerized scheduling and follows office scheduling policies.
- Ensures that staff answers and screens telephone calls, takes messages, and provides appropriate information.
- Ensures that other office functions, such as charge entry, are handled timely and accurately.
- Ensures that staff processes charts, mail and other paperwork properly.
- Provides meaningful training to staff and monitors their understanding and implementation of training.
- Maintains work area and lobby in neat and orderly manner.
- Attends meetings as required.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality both internally and externally.
- Actively participates in site-level Quality Improvement Activities. Each employee will contribute to the continual evaluation site performance as well as the
implementation and measurement of improvement activities that increase the quality of care provided to patients. - Performs related work as assigned.
Chattanooga Family Practice, a division of Summit Medical Group is seeking a Front Office Supervisor to join their practice. This is a full time opportunity that ensures patients and visitors are greeted, assisted, and scheduled; achieves this by supervising the staff or by handling directly, as appropriate. Serves as a liaison between front desk staff and Site Manager, when appropriate.

Education
High School Diploma required.
Experience
Prefer one year experience in a medical office setting.
