What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Facilitate and execute abandoned mine land reclamation and stream restoration projects
- Develop project concepts and obtain necessary funding for project activities
- Manage project implementation from start to finish, ensuring timely completion
- Complete grant and funder reports to secure ongoing support for project activities
- Collaborate with TU staff and stakeholders to enhance program sustainability
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in environmental or conservation-related fields
- Strong understanding of abandoned mine land reclamation and water quality issues
- Ability to travel frequently throughout Colorado, particularly along the Front Range
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, natural resource management, or a related field
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience working with grant writing and funder reporting
- Familiarity with Colorado’s environmental policies and conservation efforts
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and community outreach
- Knowledge of the South Platte and Colorado River watersheds
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
