  He aha te mahi? What's the role?

  We are recruiting Fruit Monitoring Technicians to conduct on-vessel fruit conditioning and ethylene monitoring of Zespri Kiwifruit as it travels to our main markets. Voyages are international and are two to four weeks in duration.

  
  You will be responsible for:

  • Testing and assessment of kiwifruit and/or taking air samples
  • Communicating all results of fruit tests and assessment to the Technical Operations Team.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date records of tests, related results and instructions received
  • Acting on instructions received from the Technical Operations Team regarding fruit conditioning or ethylene monitoring

  Successful candidates must meet Zespri's physical requirements for the position as outlined in the Job Description and as determined by a medical practitioner. You will need to have basic keyboard and computer skills and familiarity with Excel, be comfortable spending extended periods working alone and having limited contact with others (no internet access on-vessel), be a competent sailor and at ease working in a male dominated environment.
