      As a leader in securing credentials, Giesecke & Devrient is seeking a Personalization Machine Operator IV to join our growing team in Twinsburg, OH. We are an established organization with a strong global presence and excellent reputation as one of the leaders in our industry.
      The Personalization Machine Operator is responsible for the setup and operation of personalization orders on Datacard personalization machines, Zebra desktop equipment, and other machines as needed.
      The Personalization Machine Operator is responsible for the personalization and processing of customer orders. The Operator follows a detailed schedule for jobs to be personalized in a pre-determined time frame. The Operator ensures that all plastic cards are personalized in accordance with applicable quality standards, and any substandard cards are exchanged and remade.
      The operator is also responsible for the operation of machine equipment to print, fold and insert material into the envelope for mailing to the customers.
      The position requires close attention to detail, a strong sense of urgency, a solid customer focus, a sharp technical aptitude and a continuous improvement mindset.
      DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Operate the personalization or fulfillment equipment
      • Responsible for selection of data as per daily production schedule
      • Efficient and accurate with processing production jobs
      • Accuracy for all quality checks and to ensure conformance to company standards
      • Count finished products to determine if production orders are complete
      • Maintain machinery and work area in a clean and orderly condition at all times
      • Adhere to all safety regulations with regard to company policies and legal regulations
      • Produce high quality products in a timely manner with lowest scrap possible
      • Document and send remake plastics to the vault for remakes
      • Document and take responsibility for remake plastics released from the vault
      • Document and ship out orders from the department daily
      • Track production orders thru the ERP system
      • Adhere to applicable ISO Work Instructions
      • Sign off on card production
      • Print, fold, insert mail pieces as per specifications and documentation
      • Meter and seal envelopes based on specifications and instructions

      Accountabilities:

      • Responsible for accurate completion of all job orders.
      • Ensure Production schedule and Service Level attainment.
      • Ensures correct card and carrier specification are adhered to
      • Compliance with Corporate and Local departmental KPI’s and Quality standards.
      • Job Specifications:
      • Work performed in a fast paced production setting.
      • Required to lift up to 45 lbs.
      • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, and reach and move about facility.
      • Overtime may be required.
      • Wearing of company furnished smock is mandatory.
      • Occasional travel, including international.

      QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

      • High School Diploma; post-secondary education is preferred
      • Greater than 6 months experience in card personalization is highly preferred
      • Mathematical ability required
      • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Excellent organizational skills
      • Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast pace and demanding environment
      • Excellent problem solving skills
      • Excellent interpersonal skills
      • Able to work independently or as a team member
      • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
