What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a liaison to investigators and research personnel, advising on federal requirements for research approval
- Attend and document IRB meetings, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Review human research protocol submissions to confirm adherence to applicable regulations and institutional policies
- Communicate required modifications to researchers to secure IRB approval
- Collaborate with ancillary committees and hospital leadership to ensure human subject protection

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree required; Master’s or doctoral degree in a healthcare-related area strongly preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in clinical research or regulatory affairs
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing human-subjects research
- Certified IRB professional (CIP) credential in good standing or must pass certification exam within the first 90 days of employment
- Availability during Monday to Friday EST business hours
