What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a liaison and information resource to investigators and research personnel regarding federal requirements and policies for human research approval
- Attend convened meetings to conduct reviews of research activities involving human subjects and ensure quorum requirements are met
- Compose minutes of IRB meetings, documenting attendance, actions taken, and required modifications for research approval
- Review human research protocol submissions to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and institutional policies
- Collaborate with the research community to provide guidance on IRB policies and procedures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's (or doctoral) degree in a healthcare-related area strongly preferred
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in clinical research or regulatory affairs
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing human-subjects research
- Certified IRB professional (CIP) credential in good standing or must pass certification exam within the first 90 days of employment
- Availability to work Monday - Friday during EST business hours
