      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Lead development and maintenance of intuitive and innovative applications and systems integrations
      - Foster best practices among team members; provide training and guidance to CUL developer colleagues
      - Lead requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders at all levels of technical literacy
      - Maintain and enhance existing library web applications, analyze and fix software bugs, coordinate group troubleshooting
      - Lead project code reviews

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor’s Degree and five to seven (5-7) years of experience in programming or equivalent combination of education and experience
      - Extensive expertise in multiple programming languages, especially Java, Ruby, and model-view-controller (MVC) frameworks, such as Ruby on Rails; experience with JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks for building user interfaces
      - Familiarity with various markup formats and structured data formats (ex: HTML, CSS and JSON)
      - Ability to lead collective planning and problem-solving/troubleshooting of system architectures
      - Demonstrated strong written and verbal and communication skills; ability to work frictionlessly with both internal and external partners

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience working in university and/or library information technology
      - Experience playing an IT team leadership role, informally or formally
      - Familiarity with library platforms and common library service technologies (ex: DSpace, FOLIO, Blacklight, Spotlight, Solr, etc.)
      - Experience or desire to contribute to open source software
      - Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or other major cloud platforms
