      What is the opportunity?

      The Retail Investment team offers a dynamic and hands-on opportunity to directly impact RBC’s core business by driving innovative solutions that enhance client experiences and investment outcomes. You will work closely with modern technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tangible results in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you’ll take part in developing critical initiatives, strategize and execute solutions, and see the direct impact of your work on the business and our clients.

      What will you do?

      • Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into technical solutions.

      • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend applications and APIs using .NET and .NET Core, with deployment on Cloud platforms.

      • Troubleshoot, debug and resolve production issues while driving application stability and performance through proactive enhancements and optimizations.

      • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.

      • Work closely with team members, including frontend developers, QA engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of features.

      • Develop, optimize, and maintain MSSQL databases, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and ensuring data integrity.

      • Modernize and refactor legacy systems to align with current technologies and architectural best practices.

      • Stay updated with the latest .NET technologies and industry trends, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

      What do you need to succeed?

      Must Have:

      • Proven experience in backend development using .NET frameworks and C#, with a focus on building scalable and maintainable applications.

      • Proven experience designing and building scalable, reusable RESTful APIs using .NET Core.

      • Expertise in MSSQL database management, including writing and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, and ensuring data integrity.

      • Hands-on experience with cloud migration strategies and tools, including deploying and managing applications in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, or Azure).

      Nice-to-have:

      • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to design and implement modular, scalable systems.

      • Expertise in database optimization, along with the ability to collaborate effectively in Agile development environments.

      • Hands-on experience in modernizing legacy systems, including refactoring codebases and migrating to modern architectures or frameworks.

      • Proficiency in Angular for frontend development, with the ability to integrate and collaborate effectively between backend and frontend systems.
