You like to work on all parts of your projects from beginning to end and get as much satisfaction from continually improving something as you do from starting something new.
You’re able to take a set of project requirements --or even a well-described idea-- and turn it into a working product without much (if any) assistance.
You see see data as a playground for problem solving, and can translate customer problems into actionable reports and metrics
You have experience with data visualizations (i.e. static and interactive JS D3 based libraries).
You would enjoy jumping into a large data integration project, where creativity is required to connect different types of application models
You’re not intimidated by challenges and welcome the opportunity to participate in all phases of software development.
You’re comfortable working with different teams and departments, both technical and non-technical.
Write front-end and back-end code and have a grasp of coding best practices. (We mostly use PHP.)
Use a framework to create performant, reliable HTTP-based APIs. (We use Laravel.)
Wire that API and others to a modern front-end framework. (We use Vue.js.)
Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, and understand the importance of testing. Maybe you even like it.
Use Git and understand the basics of CI/CD.
Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot your systems in staging and production environments.
Good verbal and written communications skills.
A willingness to take initiative and ownership in a small-company environment.
Sample applications, source code, or a portfolio they can submit.
The ability to work remotely in an efficient manner.
Willingness to travel to corporate LA based office yearly or biyearly is not a requirement, but ideal.
Experience developing for (or working in) the healthcare industry is not required, but will be considered a plus.
Experience with contract work is preferred, but not required

Wound Care Advantage (WCA) is looking for a remote full stack developer, with experience working with data visualizations, complex data queries in SQL (or similar), and experience integrating large data sets. With clients spanning across U.S., and a corporate office full of creatives, engineers, and clinicians, Wound Care Advantage is a great place to work. This full stack developer will join us in building out our client engagement platform.
Key qualities:
Reporting: The developer will report directly to our Director of Product. But assignments will require autonomy and the ability to communicate well with various stakeholders across our clients and employee base.
Duties: The key duty of this position is to develop end-to-end solutions for WCA’s clients and for internal use. You can expect to work with a small group of developers and creatives, and will join a team that is tasked with building the systems that will take WCA into its third decade.
