What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design and develop software using various programming languages and frameworks
- Collaborate with clients to determine software needs and gather requirements
- Write, test, and refine software to ensure optimal functionality and security
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software systems
- Create technical documentation for reference and reporting purposes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software development
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Systems Engineering preferred
- Proven experience with Agile development methodologies
- Strong experience with relational databases and database-driven applications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance, requiring US citizenship
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Professional certifications in Agile, Lean, DevOps, or Security+
- Familiarity with DoD IT standards and federal security standards
- Experience with Test Driven Design (TDD) and related testing tools
- Proficiency with Object Relational Mappers (ORM) like Entity Framework
- Experience in a consultant/client environment
