      Responsibilities of UMass Global full-time faculty include teaching, mentoring and service. Research activities are supported, but not required. All faculty positions are non-tenure track, primarily hired at the rank of Assistant Professor, however, higher rank may be considered if appropriate.       Candidate must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and received the booster when applicable. This will be considered on a case-by-case basis in accordance with applicable laws.

      The ideal candidate will have:

      • MSW from a CSWE-accredited program.
      • Doctoral degree in social work or related field.
      • At least five years of postmaster’s social work practice experience.
      • Experience in online instruction and curriculum development.
      • Interest in continuously exploring new technology.

      The preferred candidate will have:

      • Commitment to teaching and mentoring.
      • Experience in teaching micro and macro practice.
      • Familiarity with generalist and advanced generalist curriculum.
      • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse communities.
      • Demonstrated ability to address intersectionality theory in the classroom, particularly with issues relating to power, privilege, and oppression.
      • Strong clinical experience in mental health settings.
      • Experience teaching adult learners in a college environment.
      • Effective record of innovation integrating curriculum and practice with appropriate technologies.
      • Knowledge of UMass Global policies and procedures.

      Responsibilities:

      This 10-month position includes shared responsibility for curricular administration of the Master of Social Work Program. The MSW program serves a significant number of first-generation students, military students, and students in groups underrepresented in academia. This position is expected to work and teach online, rather than from a physical campus. Location of residence may be anywhere in the United States.

      Salary Range: $77,000 - $81,000
