      This position pays $16.00 hourly. The hours for this position are M-F 8:00 - 3:30 pm

      Job Summary

      QSAC is seeking dedicated and energetic full time 1:1 paraprofessionals, who provide direct behavioral support services to students under the general supervision of a New York State certified teacher. The role focuses on implementing proactive and reactive strategies from an individual student's behavior intervention plan as outlined by the supervising teacher. A 1:1 paraprofessional provides behavioral support so that a student is better able to access instruction.

      Additional job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

      • Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals.

      • Aide classroom teacher as needed.

      • Maintain student engagement and support student in participation in classroom activities.

        • Implement proactive, reactive, and emergency strategies outlined in Behavior Intervention Plans.

        • Collect and maintain behavioral data for assigned student.

      • Maintain student safety.

      • Maintain participant/family confidentiality.

      • Complete required program documentation/certifications (e.g. Employee Medicals, PPD, CPR, etc. as required).

      • Commitment to company values and adherence to policies.

      • Punctuality and regular attendance is expected.

      • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management.

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

      • High school diploma/GED.

      • Clearance through state mandated Background/Fingerprint Check(s).

      • Ability to run.

      • Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20lb items.

      • Ability to communicate effectively with others and individuals served.
